Jay Scherder joined the Regional Arts Commission in November 2021 as the Senior Communications Manager. He has nearly a decade of communications and public relations experience, as well as extensive experience in broadcast television. In his career, Jay has received numerous awards for his work and philanthropy, including two Emmys, 417 Magazine’s 30 Under 30 designation, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year, and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Rising Star Award.
Jay received his Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and his Master of Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University. No matter where he works, Jay brings love of storytelling with him. He believes a strong content strategy leads to strong community and stakeholder engagement. Through networking, relationship building, and collaboration, Jay looks forward to telling the story of the Regional Arts Commission and the impact the organization has in the St. Louis region.
Jay has previously worked for KRIS-TV, KY3-TV, Rockwood School District, East Central College, and St. Charles Community College.
