The modern sculpture features the artist’s distinctive pierced form. In Archeon, she made two holes; one a broad circle, and the other a long, rounded slit. They cut into and through the highly textured surface, keeping in line with her desire to create a feeling of “something from an earlier age.”
The sculpture was first displayed in the university’s gallery, and later moved to the lawn near the library.
