Untitled by Joe Shapiro

About
The work of Shapiro is often categorized as post-minimalist in that it combines simple geometric forms to produce expressive qualities. Untitled is a prime example of this as its monochrome, rectangular sections are easily comparable to the human body and its appendages. The awkward balance of this work is one of Shapiro’s signatures. While each piece seems carefully placed, the whole seems as if it could collapse at any moment.
