“I take a simple journey of creation from concept to patination of bronze,” Vicki Reid said. “With motivation from my artistic spirit, I am moved toward a higher level of spirituality in life and art. Religious themes, both contemporary and realistic, dominate my sculptural forms. Other themes, personal and humorous, evolve as different roles and life experiences occupy my consciousness.” Reid attained a BA in education, BA in art, MA in art and currently teaches sculpture at Lindenwood University. “Art instruction, whether K-12 or college levels, is a way of sharing my gift with others. There were years when my talents focused on the design background of my art education as an interior decorator of residential and commercial sites,” said Reid.
