The arts have the power to change the lives of individuals, families, groups, and communities. RAC believes that when artists work in partnership with other members of the community, people are more creatively empowered and their communities are more vibrant, resourceful, and resilient. Our commitment to arts-based community development and creative place-making inspired us to create the Community and Public Arts Department. Here, we offer the Community Arts Training (CAT) Institute and many other opportunities for everyone who works at the intersection of art and community to enhance their practice, connect with each other, and collaboratively develop work that continues to make an impact in St. Louis.
