Linda Jo Smith

Linda Jo Smith is a writer/storyteller, born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, a graduate of Howard University, an alumnus of the 2005 Community Arts Training (CAT) Fellow sponsored by the Regional Arts Commission and has served on the citizens’ panel for the Regional Arts Commissions and the Missouri Arts Council. She is the founder of the performance group A Call to Conscience, and one of the winners of the 2009 Metro Arts In Transit Poetry in Motion Poetry Contest for City of the Century. Linda has also served as the book review editor for Sisters~Nineties Literary Publication and has had her poetry published in that publication as well as in Drum Voices Revue. She has published two chapbooks, Mississippi Phoenix and Involuntary Traveler. Linda is currently the Programming Specialist for the St. Louis Public Library where she plans and implements adult and family programming.
