18th African Film Festival

The 18th Annual African Film Festival at Washington University will begin in less than a month. The African Film Festival, which takes place March 22-24, introduces Saint Louis audiences to the latest in African cinema. Through a variety of genres, the films showcase the latest talent and new directions in cinema.

This year’s showcase features short and narrative films including acclaimed films from Cannes, Banel et Adama as well as Omen. We are also excited to offer the humorous audience winning films at many festivals, Dent pour Dent. The highlight of this year’s festival will be the animation matinee featuring the works of Triggerfish and Annie Award winner, Ng’endo Mukii, and Annie nominated Shofela Coker. Both filmmakers will speak after the animated screenings.
