Award-winning author, Nnedi Okorafor, will be coming to Washington University in St. Louis to talk about her writing journey within the Sci-Fi genre. Nnedi is known for her work within African futurism, having written the Binti novella trilogy, which has won both the Hugo and Nebula awards. She has also written for Marvel comics, most notably the Shuri series and Wakanda Forever. Nnedi is even working with television company HBO for a TV adaptation of her novel, Who Fears Death.
Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A. Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Left Bank Books; those can be signed at the event by the author.
This event will be held in the lounge of Umrath Hall on the WashU Danforth campus and will last from 6 to 7:30 pm. Refreshments will also be provided.
