From Bach to Rach

Conductor William Bauer leads the Confluence Chamber Orchestra through a maze of musical surprises by Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Rossini and others. This Sunday’s concert is family friendly and followed by a cookies and punch reception. Admission is free.

The CCO is a multi-generational nonprofit ensemble of string players, offering music lesson scholarships for students and career guidance for young performing artists. The develops concerts for the Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis Art Museum and others that coordinate with current exhibits. The orchestra offers music lesson scholarships and career guidance for young musicians.

Complete program for the December 17 concert: Mozart – Impresario Overture; Bach – Prelude 1 from Well Tempered Clavier; Buehler – Music for an Outdoor Even; t Brubeck/Desmond – Take Five; Vaughn Williams – Fantasia on Greensleeves; Telemann – Double Viola Concerto; featuring all the orchestra’s violists; Rachmaninoff – Prelude in C# Minor; Rossini – Finale from the William Tell Overture
