Soldiers Memorial Military Museum serves to remind the community of the cost of war, and acts as a place for St. Louisans to collectively grieve and pay tribute to local service members who sacrificed their lives for our country. At this year’s Memorial Day Observance ceremony on Monday, May 27, visitors of all ages will have opportunities to learn about our fallen veterans and to participate in honoring them.
Following a POW/MIA Remembrance Service and the laying of the wreaths, listen to a performance by the Fort Leonard Wood’s 399th Army Band’s Double Time Jazz Combo Ensemble. Lay golden carnations on the memorials in our Court of Honor, leave a personal memorial message on a writing board, and take an indoor or outdoor tour of Soldiers Memorial.
Soldiers Memorial will be open until 5pm and tours will be available at 11:30am. This is your last chance to see Vietnam: At War and At Home exhibit, before it closes.
