“Remnants, Shadows & Pathways”: A Public Art Installation by Kyle Brandt-Lubart

Join artist Kyle Brandt-Lubart for “Remnants, Shadows & Pathways”, a public art installation in Dutchtown’s new Pocket Park on Virginia Ave next to the VAL Garden! The piece utilizes discarded objects found within the Dutchtown footprint to create an assemblage sculpture inspired by the neighborhood’s history, nuanced identity, and the diverse array of people who have shaped the community. The installation explores forces that have influenced human movement within Dutchtown, the interplay between looking back and stepping forward, and what it means to equitably nurture a shared sense of home. Experience how “Remnants, Shadows & Pathways” intermingles with the landscape of the Pocket Park and honors the natural beauty of materials that are imbued with their own grit, texture, and storied existence. This is a family-friendly event featuring music by DJ Jillian, as well as local food and drinks.
