Union Avenue Opera presents Into The Woods

What happens when fairy tales collide in a dark and twisted forest?

Join Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and more as they cross paths with a baker and his wife on their quest through the woods. Who will live happily ever after and who will learn that magic comes at a price? But be careful what you wish for because there’s a witch who’s out to get them, and a giant who’s not too happy about a beanstalk. Don’t miss this witty and whimsical show that will make you laugh, cry, and think twice before venturing into the woods.

Leading the cast are Brandon Bell as the Baker and Taylor-Alexis Dupont as the Witch, both in their UAO debuts. Audience favorite Brooklyn Snow returns as Cinderella and we’ll welcome back Eric McConnell (Father, Ragtime) as the Wolf, Leann Schuering (Charlotte, A Little Night Music) as the Baker’s Wife, and James Stevens (Peter Quint, The Turn of the Screw) as Rapunzel’s Prince. Other UAO stage debuts include Cameron Tyler as Jack, Lauren Nash Silberstein as Rapunzel, and Laura Corina Sanders as Little Red Riding Hood. Cole Gutmann returns as the Narrator/Mysterious Man, along with Matthew Greenblatt as Cinderella’s Prince, Stephanie Tennill as Jack’s Mother, Debra Hillabrand as Cinderella’s Stepmother with Gina Malone and Rebecca Hatlelid as the stepsisters Florinda and Lucinda, and Philip Touchette as Cinderella’s Father. Into the Woods will have scenic design by Laura Skroska, lighting design by Patrick Huber, and costume design by Teresa Doggett. Jennifer Wintzer makes her UAO directorial debut as does choreographer Hannah Browning, and Founding Artistic Director Scott Schoonover will conduct this stand-out cast of sixteen and UAO Orchestra (all members of the AFM-Local 2).
