Unrestrained: Michael Wyatt

Third Degree Glass Factory presents Unrestrained, an exhibition by kiln artist Michael Wyatt, from June 1 to 24.

Wyatt, a resident Third Degree Glass artist, has been working in kiln-formed glass for almost 20 years, and his artwork demonstrates the freedom to create outside the boundaries once set by his military and working careers.

Although carefully and thoughtfully handled, the gestural-like shapes, lines and colors in his compositions seem to be applied without restraint.

Wyatt looks to artists such as Miró, Picasso and Rothko whose work he enjoys emulating and expanding.
