Angie Peters joined the Regional Arts Commission in March of 2023 as the Vice President of Growth and Development. She has more than 25 years of strategic leadership and management experience in the non-profit world. Creating a culture of philanthropy, managing fundraising campaigns, and sharing inspirational stories are some of the strengths that Angie is excited to bring to the Regional Arts Commission. She is fueled by the opportunity to grow and expand the work of RAC through advocacy, collaboration and adding to the funding model.
Angie previously worked for the Gateway Region YMCA, YMCA of Greater Seattle and Tampa Metropolitan YMCA, as well as independent YMCAs in Decatur and Lincoln, IL. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the Decatur Area Arts Council and the Decatur Public Schools Foundation are also part of her experience. She has an extensive dance background, received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida and holds a CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification.
