Across from the Blueberry Hill Restaurant in the Delmar Loop stands an 8-foot tall statue honoring the St. Louis native and rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry. The bronze figure leans forward as he strums a chord on his famous Gibson guitar in a special plaza highlighting Berry’s music. The cause was spearheaded by Joe Edwards, owner of the landmark restaurant and music club, Blueberry Hill, and KMOX radio host, Charlie Brennan. Berry still lives and performs in St. Louis.

b. 1942
A renowned, international sculptor, Harry Weber was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1942. He was educated at Princeton University, where he studied art history. Weber has produced a body of work of over 90 large and more than 200 smaller pieces. His work embodies human emotion and power with a spontaneity developed from a lifelong habit of sketching from life. He creates sculptures, which capture an instant, never static or posed, with a distinct style that makes maximum use of the natural fluidity of the bronze medium.
