About
This is one of the seven large Bathers that are among the major works of Emilio Greco, one of the 20th century’s most distinguished Italian artists. He gained international acclaim at the 1956 Venice Biennale for one of his statues in the Bather series. This figure is rougher and less feminine than the Greco housed in the Missouri Botanical Garden, but it is no less energetic and dynamic.
