Passages

By Joe Agati

About

This piece consists of three five-and-a-half feet high, four-and-a-half wide and one-foot deep rough-hewn irregularly shaped red granite blocks. The three separate blocks each have a small square-shaped hole cut into them, acting as miniature doorways or windows. The repetition of the three blocks jutting out irregularly from the earth makes the piece seem heavy and powerful.
