COUNT

Creatives Count is a research study led by the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis and conducted by WolfBrown. Through surveys and qualitative research, the study explores the region’s creatives—their practices, goals, income, resources, barriers, and community engagement, especially focused on engaging creatives of color, addressing their past underrepresentation in research.

The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis partnered with Americans for the Arts on the sixth national study of the economic impact of the nonprofit and arts culture industry, Arts and Economic Prosperity 6. This study, which is conducted approximately every five years, gauges the economic impact (on employment, government revenue, and household income) of spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations and the event-related spending by their audiences.

DIPLOMACY

Sound Diplomacy is a collaborative effort with the St. Louis Music Initiative, the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, and the Regional Arts Commission that focused on amplifying the voice of the St. Louis music community, ensuring its experiences and contributions are recognized. The report offers adaptable recommendations to support a sustainable, equitable, and thriving music ecosystem in St. Louis.
