TRANSPARENCY & STEWARDSHIP
The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis (RAC) is committed to responsible stewardship of public resources and to maintaining the trust of the community we serve. This page provides clear, accessible information about our financial practices, governance, and grantmaking processes so the public can understand how decisions are made and how funds are managed.
For 40 years, RAC has granted hotel/motel occupancy tax dollars in the St. Louis arts and cultural ecosystem through structured, accountable, and evolving practices. Our work is guided by established oversight systems, including independent annual financial audits, regular reporting to City and County partners, and ongoing governance by our Board of Commissioners.
As part of our commitment to transparency, RAC is fully cooperating with the Missouri State Auditor’s Office as it conducts a formal audit related to administrative costs and grantmaking processes. We welcome the opportunity to provide documentation and context that reflects the rigor and care behind our work.
This page will be updated regularly to share relevant information, resources, and context. Our focus remains unchanged: serving the St. Louis region by contributing to a vibrant, accessible, and accountable arts and cultural sector.
